Target: to built a port for transportation of cargo, containers and passengers between Aftab port and other Iranian ports & Islands and also neighbor countries ports in Persian Gulf and Oman Sea.

Geographic situation: Aftab port is located in 53º, 55´ longitude & 26º, 42´ latitude is between Gorze & Kalat villages which are the subjects of Shibkooh in western part of Hormozgan. This zone is limited from north to limestone and salt dome Mountains and from south to Persian Gulf and from east to Tahoneh and from west to Chiroieh. Climate is warm and moistly, land has poor coverage of plants and green fields but land covered with boulders and alluviums.

Aftab port specialties:  Aftab port is the first commercial and passenger ports was fully invested by private sector and with special managing provide better services and prices for customers and vessels.

- Aftab port is located in the middle of Persian Gulf and has best geographical position for availability to other ports of Persian Gulf and economic centers of Bushehr, Hormozgan and Fars provinces.

- Aftab port due to local position and sea bed has the best potential for development to achieve to one of the greatest commercial and passenger ports of Persian Gulf.

- Aftab port after Bandar Abas has the deepest basin for reception of many kinds of vessels in Hormozgan province. Neighboring of Aftab port with Kish free zone and south Pars zone added the economical importance of this port.

- A container terminal with the size of 350m*250m and a covered store with the size of 87500sqm
